Jeff Atkinson:

Jeff Atkinson started Olympian Fitness to provide professional athletic-style training to those looking for an authentic conditioning program. Valuing physical fitness as the key to experiencing life to the fullest, Jeff strives to assist his clients in achieving personal goals and reaching their peak performance.

A world-class athlete himself, Jeff ran professionally for 10 years, earning spots on eight U.S. National Teams and sponsorships from Nike, Foot Locker, Brooks, Oakley, and Ray Ban. After winning the US Olympic Trials, Jeff represented the United States in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea where he finished 10th in the 1500m.

Jeff has a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University, an American College of Sports Medicine Professional Fitness Trainer certification, and is CPR certified. He has standing records at Mira Costa High School (3200m, 9:03.77), Stanford University (Mile, 3:55.23) and an American Record in the indoor 1500m (3:38.12). A native and life-long resident of the beach cities, Jeff is also Head Track and Field Coach at Palos Verdes High School. Beyond fitness and running, Jeff enjoys surfing, filmmaking, and Baja camping.
